After about 8-10in you’ve squeezed just about as much as you can get out of the powder so after that gain in velocity is minimal. So in my opinion 8-10in is the sweet spot for ballistics and is still fairly compact. I went with an 8.5 Faxon and it’s been awesome so far.12 Dec 2020
